Liquid Rhinoplasty

Home/Surgical Procedures/Nose/Liquid Rhinoplasty

Liquid rhinoplasty is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment designed to improve the shape and overall appearance of the nose via a customized combination of injectable dermal fillers. Sometimes referred to as non-surgical rhinoplasty or a non-surgical nose job, this popular procedure can be an excellent option for many individuals seeking to address particular aesthetic nasal concerns without incisions, surgery, and/or extended downtime.

Fort Worth plastic surgeon Jon Kurkjian, MD has extensive experience in performing liquid rhinoplasties for both women and men, and he is highly knowledgeable about the intricacies of using dermal fillers for nasal enhancement. In fact, he co-authored an important article¹ on the use of soft-tissue fillers in rhinoplasty that was published in the esteemed Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery® (PRS) journal in 2014. By tailoring treatment to meet your unique needs and goals, Dr. Kurkjian can help you achieve a beautifully re-sculpted nose with exceptionally natural-looking results.

How Is the Liquid Rhinoplasty Procedure Performed?

To perform a non-surgical nose job, Dr. Kurkjian will carefully and strategically administer pre-selected dermal fillers into targeted areas of the nose. Once placed, these injections work to add subtle, localized volume for a more balanced appearance that looks completely natural. The most common fillers utilized during liquid rhinoplasty include hyaluronic acid-based JUVÉDERM® and Restylane®, though the specific injectable(s) employed will be determined on a case by case basis. Performed with local and/or topical anesthesia to minimize potential discomfort, the entire treatment usually takes about 30 minutes to complete, and most patients are able to resume their normal daily routines as soon as they leave our office.

What Is Liquid Rhinoplasty Recovery Like?

Following a non-surgical nose job, swelling is typically minimal and bruising is rare. In the event these side effects do occur, they should resolve relatively quickly. The majority of individuals can return to office jobs and other non-strenuous activities immediately after treatment, but Dr. Kurkjian recommends avoiding anything that involves heavy lifting or significant physical exertion for at least a few hours.
